Tony Beard joined Tozers Solicitors LLP as a trainee and therefore has more than 30 years' continuous service in the firm. In 1986, he took over the caravan park connection at the same time as assisting a fellow partner to open the firm's Exeter office. Over the past 20 years, he has represented the park owning fraternity large and small. Joined by Peter Edwards in 1989, the duo have taken more cases to the Court of Appeal than any other Exeter firm (unofficial Tozers' figures) and won an appeal in the House of Lords.
With the growth of the sector, the team has grown to include three litigators and two property lawyers. Tony's work now involves buying and selling parks, giving planning and site licensing advice and advising the British Holiday & Home Parks Association ('BHHPA') on strategic issues such as legislative consultations, Bills in Parliament and the like.
Tony is also a member of the team at Tozers that seeks compensation for those who have been mis-sold interest rate swap agreements (also known as 'hedging agreements').
