Dominic McCahill advises companies and creditors in corporate restructuring matters with an emphasis on cross-border situations. His clients include banks, hedge funds and private equity sponsors.
Before joining Skadden in 2012, Mr. McCahill was a partner at another major international law firm. Among his clients were the resolution and winding-up committees of Kaupthing Bank hf (formerly Icelandâ??s largest bank) following its collapse in 2008; the Lehman Brothers estate in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy; the Enron estate in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy; creditors and receivers of structured investment vehicles (SIVs); Global Crossing in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy; a creditorsâ?? committee in the Federal Mogul Chapter 11 bankruptcy; and liquidators and administrators of English and offshore companies. Mr. McCahill practiced in the Cayman Islands between 1997 and 2002.
