Rod Margo

Biography

Roderick D. Margo joined Condon & Forsyth LLP in 1980 and retired as partner of the firmâ??s Los Angeles office in June 2012. During the thirty-two years he spent with the firm, Rod advised and represented airlines and their insurers in connection with the litigation and resolution of aviation claims and commercial disputes.

In addition to his legal practice, Rod served as a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and as a member of the aviation law panels of the International Mediation and Arbitration Center (IMAC) in Los Angeles, and for ACI (A Commercial Initiative for Dispute Resolution) in London.

Rod taught aviation law at the UCLA School of Law (1981 to 1998) and, most recently, at IATAâ??s Training & Development Institute in Montreal and Geneva. He also served as adjunct professor of law at McGill Universityâ??s Institute of Air & Space Law in Montreal.

In 2010, Rod was honored by receiving the international award of Aviation Lawyer of the Year by Whoâ??s Who Legal where he was declared â??the leading lawyer in the world for Aviation expertise.â? In 2011, Legal 500 selected Rod as being highly recommended for his work as a leader in the firmâ??s insurance coverage practice.
