John Male QC


John Male QC practices in property law, planning and compulsory purchase. He is experienced in all aspects of property litigation, particularly landlord and tenant where he deals regularly with issues concerning business tenancies and commercial rent reviews.

He has appeared in landlord and tenant cases in Courts and tribunals at all levels. He has also been involved in many major contested rent review arbitrations. He has appeared regularly at public inquiries concerning planning and compulsory purchase.

In recent years much of his time has been devoted to dispute resolution in property cases acting as an arbitrator, independent expert or mediator. He also sits in the Courts as a Recorder trying civil cases and has sat as an Inspector on a village green inquiry. He also sits as Deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery Division.
