James MacLachlan


James MacLachlan is a Partner with Baker & McKenzie, London. He joined the firm in 1985, having qualified in 1981 as a solicitor and then practised in the corporate tax field with Slaughter and May. He advises on all aspects of UK corporate taxation for domestic and multinational enterprises, including the structuring and execution of a wide variety of UK and cross-border transactions. Most recently, James has advised on a number of announced and potential redomestications of foreign-parented groups to the UK. For several years, he has worked closely with the ICC UK Taxation Committee and The 100 Group of leading UK companies and a variety of clients in submitting representations to the UK Government on reforms to the taxation of foreign profits of UK companies.
