Catherine MacKenzie

Biography

Catherine MacKenzie has over ten yearsâ?? experience in environmental consulting and her skills lie in both in strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and environmental impact assessment (EIA). Currently, Catherine is managing the route selection and subsequent EIA process for two electricity transmission line projects in the Scottish highlands, including constraints analysis, consultation with a group a key statutory stakeholders, public consultation and reporting. She has recently managed Irish Offshore SEA 5 for the Irish Government in relation to proposed oil and gas exploration and production activities in Irish offshore waters. She has project managed the EIAs for wind farm projects in Scotland, including assessment of impacts on tourism and recreation, and has coordinated EIA projects across a wide variety of sectors including power, renewable energy, mixed use development and industry. In addition, Catherine has assisted with SEAs of waste and minerals plans, transport plans, core strategies and master plans across the UK.
