Monica Ma


Monica specialises in employee benefits, and particularly in pensions and share incentive arrangements. She has wide-ranging experience of the employee benefits aspects of corporate transactions and flotations and all types of employee benefits work, including the establishment of share incentive schemes and pension schemes.

Monica qualified at Simmons & Simmons in 1992 and became a partner in 2000. She is a regular speaker at employee benefits seminars and frequently contributes to publications including "Professional Pensions", "Pensions Age" and "Pensions Week". She has a regular column in "Financial Advisers" (published by the "Financial Times") and is a contributor to "Pensions Law" (published by Tolley's) and "Company Acquisitions Handbook" (published by Tottel). She is described in Chambers (2007) as maintaining "a solid reputation as a technical pensions lawyer. She is noted in Legal 500 (2006) for "in-depth knowledge, ability to work to tight timescales and professionalism". Monica heads the Share Incentives group in the London office.
