Marc joined the company in 2001 and qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2010. Marc has covered many aspects of costs law and deals with a wide variety of costs issues in civil proceedings including costs arising from Judicial Review of local government decisions, planning appeals, business disputes, disputes over property and litigation arising from the administration of large estates.
He has considerable experience of representing both receiving and, particularly, paying parties on detailed assessments both in the local courts and in the Senior Courts Costs Office, having dealt with high value bills of costs and novel points of costs law and having acted as advocate at the detailed assessment of the costs of the first successful Twitter libel case in this jurisdiction.
Marc speaks on the subject of costs for the Personal Injury Bar Association and has provided expert advice for the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Marc is also experienced in dealing with claims for costs in the criminal courts and costs incurred in the Court of Protection.
