Melissa Jones

Melissa specialises in general domestic and international commercial litigation. Melissa trained at Jaques & Lewis (now Eversheds) and subsequently practised at Stephenson Harwood and Herbert Smith (now Herbert Smith Freehills) before moving to BPP Law School to teach on the Legal Practice Course. Melissa was a professional support lawyer for over 10 years, firstly at Nabarro Nathanson (now CMS), where she set up the PSL function, and then at DAC Beachcroft, where she was responsible for drafting current awareness briefings for both lawyers and clients, writing dispute resolution articles for the firm and external publications, providing internal training and assisting with business development. Within the Lexis®PSL Dispute Resolution team, Melissa focuses on the law and practice of commercial litigation with a particular interest in the procedural aspects of starting and managing civil claims up to and including trial.
