Biography

John Baldry returned to the Bar in 2014 after 20 years in private practice, most latterly as a partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Ropes & Gray LLP, where he established the London tax group.  

He has a broad experience in corporate and financial tax issues, and has acted for FTSE100 companies, investment banks, private equity funds, private companies, and entrepreneurs and management teams.  John has been recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers UK, Chambers Europe and Chambers Global directories. 
 
John sits on the Tax Law Committee of the Law Society of England & Wales and is regularly involved in their discussions of policy and legislation with HM Treasury and HMRC.
