Kevin Griffin

Biography

After six years as a Tax Inspector, Kevin spent more than 25 years with Ernst & Young. For much of that time he worked in financial services where client demands led him to develop expertise in stamp duty and stamp duty reserve tax (SDRT). When a specialist group was set up to provide stamp tax advice across the firm, Kevin was asked to lead it. Although much of the group’s work arose from property transactions, Kevin was recognised as the key person to deal with SDRT matters for banks and other financial services clients. He was also a regular presenter on in-house training courses.

Kevin retired in 2009 but continues to write and provide ad hoc advice. He is the author of a practical guide to stamp taxes.
