Peter Arrowsmith has practised since early 1998 as a National Insurance contributions specialist to provide technical backup to fellow practising accountants who may not have in-house expertise in this ever more complicated area. He has a wide breadth of accountancy and tax experience having trained and qualified in 1978 as a Chartered Accountant with a top ten firm. He first began to specialise in National Insurance in 1977. He also speaks and writes extensively on the subject. He was a member of the Tax Faculty's National Insurance committee from 1988 to 1999 and is now a member of the replacement Employment Taxes and National Insurance Committee, having been Chairman from 1999 to 2007. He currently contributes the NIC sections to a number of paper and online publications.
