Ivor Drake

Ivor Drake joined the legal team at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in June 2013, where he advises on the legal implications of electronic commerce, commercial and technology contracts, procurement, intellectual property issues, data protection and privacy. He has experience across a range of industry sectors, having worked within a variety of in-house client legal teams, having been seconded to Inbev, UBS, Chi-X Europe, Instinet and TripAdvisor. Before moving to Abu Dhabi, Ivor was a senior associate at Kemp Little and trained at Simmons & Simmons after qualifying in 2006.

Ivor has presented talks on topics such as cloud computing, e-commerce, digital advertising regulation, online video content and data security/information management. He has also written articles on online content paywalls, net neutrality, liability in IT contracts and algorithmic trading.
